Full & Partial Dentures
Are you tired of putting up with missing teeth or dentures that irritate your mouth? Recent advances in technology give us a wider selection of materials to choose from, resulting in a better fit, and a more natural-looking appearance for full and partial dentures.
Types of Dentures
Dentures are a removable appliance that acts as a functional replacement for missing teeth. At Filson Gentle Dentistry, we can choose from several types of dentures to find the solution that works best for you.
- Partial dentures are appropriate if you have just a few missing teeth. Partial dentures are designed to fit between the remaining teeth.
- Complete dentures are used when all teeth are missing. These dentures can be customized so you will get just the smile you have wanted.
- Overdentures are secured over a few remaining teeth or dental implants.
Implant-Supported Dentures
One of the biggest concerns people have about dentures is their tendency to shift and slip, leading to irritation and embarrassment. However, there’s an exciting new type of treatment that we can use to secure your dentures so that they don’t move around in your mouth.
All-on-Four is a system where implants are placed in your mouth, then attached to your dentures. A minimum of four implants are needed to support a full arch of teeth, but some patients may require more.
Implant-supported dentures can truly transform your life. Dentures secured with dental implants help you chew with the same comfort of natural teeth, and you don’t have to worry about your dentures moving out of place and creating awkward moments.
Custom Dentures Fit Your Smile
We know that lots of people think of dentures and envision perfect rows of obviously false teeth. It’s understandable because until recently, dentures were basically designed to be durable and functional without a lot of attention to esthetics.
With today’s new materials and techniques, we can fully customize your dentures to complement your skin coloring, facial contours, and even the color of your eyes. Customized dentures look so natural that no one will know that those beautiful teeth aren’t your own.
What You Need to Know About the Process
Depending on which type we choose, placing dentures usually takes about four to six weeks. We’ll be there every step of the way to oversee the process and answer all your questions.
The cost of dentures varies depending on whether we choose a partial or full set of dentures. Some dental insurance plans cover dentures, and others don’t. We’ll be happy to check with your insurance so that you know what the final cost will be for you. There are also third-party financing and other cost-saving options that you can consider, such as CareCredit.
